Terms of use
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Pimlo: the pimlo.app website, the demo and the Pimlo app. By using Pimlo, or creating an account, you agree to them. Please read them, along with our privacy notice.
Who we are
Pimlo is made by Ozessa Ltd ("we", "us"). Contact us at support@pimlo.app.
Ozessa is a trading name of OZESSA LTD, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17120532). Registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF. Email: support@pimlo.app.Who can use Pimlo
Pimlo accounts are for adults aged 18 or over who are a parent, guardian or caregiver of the children they add. You confirm you are allowed to share the information you give us about each child. Children may listen to and explore Pimlo, but only under an adult account and with that adult's supervision; you are responsible for how your account is used and for keeping your password safe.
The website, free stories and demo
Anyone can read our free bedtime stories, join the launch list and try the demo, which shows the Pimlo app with stories we made in advance. These are free, and the demo does not create stories or an account.
Membership
Creating your own stories needs a Pimlo membership. It costs the monthly price shown to you before you subscribe (currently $14.99 a month), including any tax we are required to charge where you live. Payment is taken by Stripe when you subscribe and then on the same day each month until you cancel.
Each monthly billing period includes up to 10 new stories for your household. A story shared by several of your children counts once, and replaying a story never counts. Unused stories do not carry over to the next period. Story length and narration time are guides, not guarantees.
If a payment fails, we will let you know and may pause creating new stories until it is sorted out. If we ever change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in the parent settings. Your membership continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged again. After it ends, you keep read-only access to your children's worlds and stories: you can still play, save and archive them, but you cannot create, enrich or edit them, download them for offline listening or add new narration. Rejoining restores everything.
Changing your mind. If you are a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of first subscribing by emailing support@pimlo.app. We will refund your first payment, minus a fair amount for any stories already created in that time.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights, including if something we provide is faulty or not as described.
Stories made with AI
Pimlo creates stories, illustrations and narration with AI, guided by what you tell us about your child. Every story is checked automatically before it plays, and we design Pimlo to be calm and age-appropriate. Even so, AI can make mistakes: a detail might be wrong or a story might not suit your child. Please listen with your child, especially at first, and tell us at support@pimlo.app or through the app's feedback if anything does not feel right. Stories can take a few minutes to create, and generation times can vary.
Pimlo is entertainment. It is not medical, educational, therapeutic or emergency advice.
Your content and your stories
You keep ownership of what you give us, such as your child's details and your requests. You allow us to use it to provide Pimlo to you, to keep it safe and to support you.
The stories, illustrations and narration made for your household are yours to enjoy: you may play, keep and share them with family and friends for personal, non-commercial use. We will not show your family's stories to other families or publish them. The Pimlo app, name, characters we created, designs, free stories and demo content belong to us or our licensors; you may read our free stories aloud and share links to them, but please do not copy them in bulk, republish or sell them, or use any Pimlo content to train software.
Using Pimlo fairly
Please do not use Pimlo to create harmful, hateful, sexual, violent or unlawful content; include details that could identify or locate a child, such as surnames, schools or addresses; add children you are not responsible for; access another household's information; get around safety checks, story limits or payments; scrape, copy or overload the service; or resell Pimlo or the stories it makes.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, puts a child at risk or harms the service, and we may refuse requests that fail our safety checks. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
Changes to Pimlo
Pimlo is new and will keep improving, so features may change. If we make a change that significantly reduces what your membership includes, we will tell you in advance and you can cancel. If we ever close Pimlo, we will give you reasonable notice, refund any period you have paid for but cannot use, and tell you how to keep your stories.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the parent settings; this cancels your membership and erases your family's information as described in our privacy notice. Deleted stories cannot be recovered.
Our responsibility to you
We provide Pimlo with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, but not for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses (Pimlo is for personal use), or for events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you have a problem, please email support@pimlo.app first and we will try to sort it out. If we cannot, you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. Wherever you live, you keep any protection the consumer laws of your home country or state give you that cannot be waived, and if you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the European Union, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Pimlo changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change matters to members, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel if you do not agree.
